He received subsequent Fellowship Training at both the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and the UCLA Comprehensive Spine Center. Dr. Virella is known for being articulate, having authored numerous articles, and medical textbook chapters, and has lectured nationally and internationally on complex, and minimally invasive spine surgery.
